Should I go for PMP® or not??

I get queries from various PMs, if they should go for PMP^® or not. Will there be any benefit of getting PMP^® certified or not. As per my view, one should go for PMP^® other similar professional PM certifications for several reasons:                                                

• It shows that you have achieved a certain level of expertise in Project Management.

• It shows that you are committed towards the profession of Project Management.

• You will learn standard terms and terminologies that are used by Project Managers across industries.

• You will learn various project management tool & techniques to perform day to day PM activities.

• Nowadays PMP^® is becoming a mandatory requirement for PM opening across various companies.
